HERDSMEN ATTACKS: BENUE LOST 60,000 LIVES IN 4YEARS

     A socio political organisation, National Council of TiV youths had said that Benue State lost over 6,000 person's and 5billion
naira in the last four years to attacks by Fulani herdsman. President of the group Dr John a opera who in an interview with Saturday punch tambasted the Fulani for placing more value on cows than human lives. He said it is almost four years now that the problem of Fulani herdsman has been going on in benue state. If we are to make a monetary demand it will be in quantifiable because we have lost over 5billion naira.we have also lost over 6,000 people in venue state alone due to the massive destruction of properties invasion of farmlands and raping of woman by these herdsmen. the benue state house of assembly also invited people to bring their own memoranda and there was a public debate. At the end they saw that what will be a lasting solution to the problem was to pass into law the anti operation grazing bill.
