Okowa, Okobah, Others Bag Ika Weekly Distinguished Personality Award

  The Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa alongside other notable Ika sons and daughters have received distinguished personality award for their outstanding contributions
to the development of Ika nation.
    The award facilitated by a frontline local tabloid, Ika Weekly Newspaper to commemorate its 10th year anniversary was held at Agbor with a charge to the Ika sons and daughters invest at home to drive and fast track development in the area.
     Others that received the Ika weekly newspaper award include, Dr,( Mrs) Isioma Okobah, Chief Edwin Kalikwu, Mr Paul Odili, Chief Nkenchor Okwuokenye and Mr. Chris Mbulu the member representing Ika federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Victor Nwokolo, members representing Ika South and Ika North Local Government Areas in the state House of Assembly, Hon Festus Okoh and Hon Anthony Elekeokwuri, Executive Assistant to state Governor on Entertainment and Events, Mr Sebastian Okoh, Barr Eugene Uzum ,Executive Assistant ,Directorate of Orientation and Mobilization..
     The publisher and Chief Executive Officer, Mr.Steve Ashien said since the creation of the state , that the awardees had contributed greatly towards the growth and development of the state and particularly to the development of Ika land.
On the 10th anniversary he said Ika weekly would continue to remain committed to being catalyst for better Ika society and remain resolute in bridging the information gap in advancing growth and development in the land.
