In Delta,APC Sufffers setback as 500 Members Defect to PDP

      The All Progressives Congress in Ughelli South Council Area of Delta State has suffered another setback as over 500 members defected o the Peoples Democratic Party owing to the leadership crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.
     The defecting members led by a former House of Assembly aspirant of the party, Olorogun Samson
Okomitie, saying there was no future for the APC in the state.
Okomitie, who spoke during the defection in Ekakpamre community on Saturday, said they had decided to dump the ruling party at the centre following the lingering leadership crisis
rocking the state and council leadership of the party in the state.
He noted that with the unresolved leadership tussle in the state chapter, there was no hope
that the party could win any elective election in the 2019 General Election in the Country.
The defectors who were received by Ughelli
South PDP Chairman, Mr Djegbe Oshetigho and other party leaders from the area, saying the
party was open and ready to receive members of the opposition parties ahead of the 2019 elections
